February 3 to May 27, 2008 and September 29 to October 27, 2008 Majorca is situated in the Mediterranean Sea approximately 100 miles off the coast of Spain. This island paradise conjures up thoughts of crystal blue water, manicured beaches, the majestic mountains of the northwest coast, the port city of Palma, the windmills, Majorcan pearls, olive and almond trees, World-class hotels and the wonderful Mediterranean cuisine. For the cyclist you can add legendary climbs and great long tempo rides on the very training grounds used by the best European professional teams.
If you are a World traveler you have already been or will visit this beautiful and historic island. If you are a serious cyclist, this has got to be your Mecca. As a World traveler I first visited Majorca 35 years ago and have listed it at the top of my favorite destinations. As a World-class cyclist I have returned to ride nine times in the past seven years. It really is that fantastic.
Our host is the Stephen Roche Camp. The staff is phenomenal and I have no reservations being their representative. The hotel is the four-star Ponent Mar in beautiful Palma Nova.
