ABOUT US

What To Expect On The Typical Day

On the typical day of our training trips we have breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30am.  W will organize and depart on the day’s ride at about 9:30.  Groups will be led by Steve Lehman and/or competent local ride leaders.  The rides will be organized in homogenous groups so no rider is held back or continuosly stressed.  Daily circuits will vary in distance and difficulty to provide the most effective training during the duration of the trip.  The rides will also take into consideration the rich history, culture and scenery of the area we are visiting. A stop for coffee en route at a small cafe’ in a small town square is a definite possibility.  You will return exhilarated at around 1:00 to 2:00pm with ample time to descover and explore at your leisure. Dinner will be at 7:00ish.  There will be one rest day per week which will have some included activity unique to the area visited that will include sightseeing and shopping opportunities.

The typical race trip can actually have less time expended on actually riding the bike than a training trip.  Warm-ups and cool-downs are accomplished on the ride to and from the race venues as our host hotel will be in close proximity to them.  If there is not a race on a given day, there will be opportunites to check the race courses, just spin the legs or be involved in any pre or post-race activities. The time could also be spent just relaxing or otherwise enjoying the destination.  Steve and Sandy will be available to recommend excellent tourist, shopping and dining experiences.
